winterfall (inspirations)

Some things I've read the last few days that have elicited some sort of deep response:

From Real Simple, January 2013:
a recipe for Mushroom Pizzette

and

"The DOC says:
Idiopathic
It Means: There's no identifiable reason why you came down with an illness or condition."

From Francois Truffaut: The Complete Films (Taschen)
"LEFT
Still from 'L'Homme qui aimait les femmes (1977)
Some people cannot pass a bookshop without going in to browse.  In the case of Bertrand Morane (Charles Denner), he is compelled to look at and talk to women.  Here, as he looks at the mannequin, note how the reflection of the hand in the window seems to caress him.  Not only does he need to love, but he needs to be loved in return."

"MEDICAL ATLAS for Attorneys | COURTROOM DRAWINGS 161-240"

From a Village Voice review of the ReSearch book ANGRY WOMEN:
"This is hardly the nurturing, womanist vision espoused in the 1970s. The view here is largely pro-sex, pro-porn, and pro-choice. Separatism is out, community in. Art and activism are inseparable from life and being."

From a reference letter:
"...Ms. Evans has been a constant bright spot."

From a personal email:
"If NYE doesn't pan out, there's always every day after that for a long time."

From one of my mumbled poems:
"9.  I dismantled a typewriter last night (insomnia)"
